Clarion County Community Foundation

The Community Foundation for Clarion County was formed in 2007 when four people met to discuss the need for efforts to contribute to the quality of life in the county. A full board of directors was reached by the time of the first Annual Meeting in 2008. At that time the Board established the Clarion County Community Foundation Unrestricted Endowment Fund initially with Ben Franklin Trust Funds and it has grown slowly since then.

Our objective is to increase it to a level that will provide support for a variety of needs in the county. We facilitate the creation of permanent endowments to provide funding for both general and specific projects in areas such as education, recreation, and conservation in all regions, communities and school districts in the county.

The county has numerous opportunities for recreation with many trails, the Clarion and Allegheny Rivers, Redbank Creek, Kahle Lake and Cook Forest State Park. Clarion University is a center for education, arts, sciences and athletics. Major industries include modular home builders, gas and oil drilling, and agriculture. The CCCF welcomes the involvement of everyone interested in contributing to improving life in Clarion County.
