The Forest County Community Foundation (FCCF) was organized in 2007 and serves all of Forest County including the Forest Area School District. FCCF was established as an affiliate of the Bridge Builders Community Foundations using Ben Franklin Trust Funds received by Venango Area Community Foundation for geographic expansion. FCCF strives to provide philanthropic financial support to local non-profit agencies that struggle due to poor infrastructure i.e. limited high speed communication and lack of major Interstate traffic within the county.

Employers in the county include the PA State Government, the Federal Government, educational agencies, lumber/wood product companies and tourism/recreation. The county boasts two Wild and Scenic Rivers, The Clarion River and The Allegheny River, within the borders of the Allegheny National Forest. Our ability to collaborate with surrounding county affiliates and engage the communities within Forest County in an open dialogue to determine the critical needs and appropriate funding allocation has been a primary focus for FCCF Board of Directors.
