The mission of the Punxsutawney Area Community Foundation (PACF) is to improve the quality of life in the Punxsutawney Area School District. PACF serves the area situated in Southern Jefferson and Northern Indiana Counties of Pennsylvania. Punxsutawney, known worldwide as “The Home of the Groundhog”, serves as the economic hub for the area. PACF was established as an affiliate of Bridge Builders Community Foundations in 2015 by the Punxsutawney Revitalization Investing, Developing and Enhancing (PRIDE) organization which recognized the need for a community foundation in the Area.

PACF, through a fifteen member Board of Directors, assists individuals and community groups to establish a variety of charitable and scholarship funds. Philanthropy is encourage at events and activities throughout the community and through local and on-line media outlets. Through leadership, technical assistance and grants PACF assist local charitable organizations in their community improvement efforts.
